Maebashi Tanabata Matsuri (Maebashi Star Festival)
The star festival has been held as an annual event since 1951. It is one of the biggest festivals in the North Kanto area and attracts many tourists from all over the country. You can enjoy viewing the various ornaments hanging on the bamboo trees decorated along the streets. Flea markets, vegetable shops and a variety of street stalls are open till late at night.
